34 Things to Bake This Week

Before we start making resolutions  about getting healthy for 2014, let’s just take a breath and bake something (just for your sanity, or one last hoorah)! My mom bought a bulk pack of chocolate truffles from Costco, and let’s just say if I wasn’t addicted to chocolate before… I think I have a full fledged chocolate addiction now. But, the healthy recipes can wait just a few more days!

Shortbread
I love the simplicity of shortbread, but these twists make the classic recipe more interesting.

Cadramom vanilla shortbread

Melt-in-your-mouth Shortbread – my favorite!

Salted Caramel Shortbread

Candy Cane Shortbread – my recipe!

Smoked Salt and Almond Shortbread Stars

Peppermint
A peppermint kick is always refreshing, especially paired with chocolate!

Peppermint Cream Squares

Peppermint Dream Cake

Crunchy Peppermint Bark

Cookies and Cream Peppermint Bark

White Chocolate Peppermint Potato Chips

Easy Peppermint Bark - my recipe!

Peppermint Candy Cane Brownies

Gingerbread
This is a great one for kids, or just a classic that can be decorated for fun.

Gingerbread Heads

One Bowl Gingerbread Cake

Gingerbread Granola

Nuts
Treats with a bit of crunch and saltiness from nuts are a great play on texture.

Chocolate Fudge Pistachio Thumbprints

Cranberry Pistachio Cream Cheese Thumbprints

Pistachio Chocolate Truffles

Citrus
Tangy & sweet is always a winning combination.

White Chocolate Lemon Butter Cookies

Citrus Gingerbread Trees

Decorated
Elves, candy, cartoons… you name it and you can decorate it!

Peppermint Candy Cookies

Edible Elves

Charlie Brown Ornaments – love this for kids cookies.

Melted Snowmen Cookies

Chocolate
Many of the above recipes have chocolate, but this section is 100% chocolate galore.

Double Chocolate Biscotti with Sea Salt

Chocolate Peppermint Dipped Marshmallows

Cookies & Cream Frozen Hot Chocolate

Chewy Nutella Cookies

Fancy Ass Hot Chocolate – ouu ya, can’t wait to try this one!

Chocolate Candy Cane Swirl Bundt Cake

Chocolate Peppermint Icebox Yule Log Cake

Other
and a few more recipes for popular tastes!

Iced Eggnog Cookies

Rye Cloud Sugar Cookies

Pate Frolle Mince Pies – I’ve never made mince pies before, but this recipe looks amazing!

Whether you’re a choco-holic (like me), or you have a zest for a citrus cookie, I hope you try out a recipe in this collection this week. Just one more sugar rush before 2014 resolutions couldn’t hurt, right?
